2.Swings Golf, Tērbatas 74A

Indoor mini golf and a cocktail bar on Tērbatas iela. A round takes about 90 minutes, with time to talk between holes. Come with friends or on a date, or bring the family during the day.
Keep in mind: Closed on Mondays. Booking is advisable for weekend evenings. A table reservation costs €5 on Fridays from 17:00 and at weekends, and is free at other times.

Billiards, table tennis and arcade games under one roof. The Barona iela venue and the larger Old Town branch offer different mixes of games. A useful option when your group cannot agree on a single activity.
Keep in mind: Entry is 14+, changing to 18+ on Fridays and Saturdays from 18:00. Tickets are valid for the branch you choose.

Laser tag in an indoor arena at Šampēteris, with another park in Jugla. Teams play short rounds using obstacles for cover. Choose the branch when booking, because the activities differ between locations.

10.Riga Motor Museum, Mežciems

More than 100 historic vehicles, with interactive displays and a collection spanning early cars to Soviet-era models. Allow 2–3 hours, especially with children who want to explore the exhibits.
Keep in mind: Closed on Mondays. The museum is in Mežciems, so allow travel time from the centre.

11.Riga Zoo and Mežaparks

Combine the zoo with a walk in Mežaparks for a longer family outing. The Tropical House offers some shelter, but most of the visit is outdoors. The park itself is free to enter.
Keep in mind: This is mainly an outdoor day out. Prices and opening hours change with the season. Check your visit date before buying.

12.Skyline Bar, 26th floor
Cocktails from €13 · non-alcoholic from €10
A cocktail bar on the 26th floor of Radisson Blu Latvija, overlooking the city and the Daugava. It pairs easily with a film at nearby Splendid Palace. Go before sunset if the view is the main reason for visiting.
Keep in mind: Table reservations require €50 per person, credited to the bill. Unused credit is not refunded. Friday and Saturday entry is 18+ from 21:00.

14.Falkors Bouldering Centre, Teika

Bouldering in a former industrial building in Teika. Climbers follow routes on low walls above padded flooring, without ropes. It is an active date option, with rental shoes available for a first visit.
Keep in mind: First-time visitors register in the gym’s app. Shoes cost €3 to rent, and chalk is extra.

Walk along Alberta iela to see its Art Nouveau façades, then visit the museum at number 12 for a restored apartment interior. The street is free, while the museum has a separate seasonal admission price.

17.The National Library's top floors
Free when the upper floors are open
The upper floors of the National Library look over the Daugava towards the Old Town. Combine the view with the building’s public exhibitions. Check access to levels 11 and 12 specifically, as it can differ from the library’s opening hours.
Keep in mind: Upper floors can close for events. Check the daily access notice or ask at the service desk before going up.
